The Survivor 2018 season started us off with twenty new castaways (meet all the new faces here) in a matchup of underdogs against top dogs as they began the battle to become the David vs. Goliath Sole Survivor.
First up will be Jeff Probst’s introduction of the season and the arrival of the new castaways as they size each other up and down. He explains to them why the two tribes might appear to be unevenly stacked. They all seem very excited by the David vs. Goliath theme and are ready to get things started. This time around, however, they aren’t sent off to camp. They’re already heading into a bit of a mini challenge for reward. The Goliath’s pick the two people from the David tribe that they think are the weakest. Then the David tribe has to pick the strongest players from the Goliath Tribe. And the David tribe wins reward! They head off to camp with supplies to build shelter.

Survivor 2018 Immunity Challenge Week 1
It’s time for the first immunity challenge! For this challenge the players will have to striping through an obstacle, then have to dig through a sand pit to get to a machete that they ill use to release a ladder. Then they have to get to a pole vault to transport them from one platform to another. Then they have to solve a puzzle. They’re also playing for fire in the form of flint.
The Goliath’s take the early lead but finally get the chance to catch up as the Goliath’s aren’t that great at working together. They’re shouting and getting confused while the Davids are calm and working together. But the David tribe can’t quite get there and the Goliath tribe wins immunity!
After the challenge, the David boat was on its way back to camp and it hit a wave and Pat got injured. Jeff even comes by to check on Pat to see if he can continue in the game …

Tribal Council Week 1
Due to Pat’s injury, the David tribe will not be going to Tribal Council. Pat will officially count as the first castaway out of Survivor: David vs. Goliath. The David tribe bid a very emotional farewell to Pat as they all felt guilty for being so annoyed with him earlier in the game.
