Cole Medders on Survivor 2017

The new Survivor 2017 season is just getting started and after the premiere’s twist flop we’re waiting to see what comes along next to put a kick in the pants of the three tribes. CBS’s “next time on Survivor” wasn’t exactly inspiring.

After sitting quietly on her Super Immunity Idol Chrissy has decided to pitch a partnership to Ben and according to the preview clip he’s accepted the offer. These two castaways are together on the Heroes tribe and are down one player with Katrina’s torch snuffed last week. Now Chrissy is likely the lowest on the tribe’s list so would Ben really want to align with her? We’ll have to wait and see how serious things could be with his intentions.

Over on the Healers tribe we’ve got a showmance brewing between Cole and Jessica. Seems they’re giving each other the googly eyes and there’s nothing like weeks of no showers and head to toes bug bites to get the love going in Fiji. Could a coupling put the spotlight on them and raise their risks at a Tribal Council?

And in a “I have no idea what’s happening here” we’ve got Ali and Patrick having some weird interaction with her not knowing if she could work with such a crazy guy. He’s crazy because he likes to play with crabs. Well I must be missing something, but that’s all the preview clip gave us in 5 seconds on the Hustlers tribe.

As for who ends up back at Tribal Council, we may have our first look at the next Immunity challenge. The castways are heading back out in to the water and they’ll probably have to retrieve pieces from down below, hand them off to teammates on the float, and then see who can assemble the puzzle first.

  3. Maybe Ben figures his alliance is going to implode with Alan’s craziness about the possible shomance so he’s keeping his options open by also aligning with Chrissy.? That way he keeps himself safe in case of future TC’s
    Matt, you set such a romantic setting, in your narrative, above for the lovebirds –weeks of no showers and head to toes bug bites Sounds like a romance killer to me LOL

  5. Lol…(groan) We’re awful aren’t we? We should leave the puns to Alfie. But we’re having fun. I keep trying to think of puns….it makes life go a wee bit better.

  8. I like Mike … not sure about which tribe though.

    Still kinda early to get a feel for them.

    I will say Mike made a classic rookie error by immediately hunting for an idol … at the very least he should have been more discreet.

    No better way to arouse suspicion than to do that on the very first day.

  9. Absolutely agree with mike making a rwho to root for and ookie mistake. I’m not quite sure he fully understands the game.

    Yeah, it’s waaay too early to make any decisions on who to root for or not. I just like Mike because he’s kind of a nerd–and so am I. He’s definitely got a target on his back, especially since Alan was the one to call him out on it.

  11. I usually root for the underdog. I don’t like people picking on others just because they may be nerdy and don’t spend their lives pumping iron.

    Working out is great … just don’t make it your persona.

    We’ll have to see how well he does.

  12. Guess he’s trying to copy Russell H who went out to try to find idols even without any clues. AND he (R) did find several idols that way. Course, that was his second time out and he’d already had ‘clue’ type places to look for from the first time.

  18. She deserved another few weeks. Was yelling at my tv for her partner to use the super veto and save her. Would have been a really great way to start the season with a shocking first tribal council.

  21. Yeah I liked her some. I read in her exit interview that she did tell her tribe she was an Olympic swimmer. They know there are water challenges. So they deserve to lose.

  22. Just the truth, lol. I never understood how these people can kiss and stuff. I mean really, no toothpaste or mouthwash. I haven’t met any men or women can go without showering and smell good.

  29. Hi Darwin. According some some google searches. The Amazing Race begins filming in October…… so maybe we will see the results around May/June? The great thing is it’s Season 30 and they want to make it special.

  38. Yes, filming begins tomorrow in NY. I hope we see it before May. I wish they would go back to airing 2 seasons a year. They used to be on the same time Survivor was airing.

  40. This last season was pretty bizarre…you might want to Google which 2 episodes he was in and watch them.
