We’re down to the final two episodes of Survivor’s second Blood Vs Water season with six castaways left and someone set to leave tonight’s show ahead of the finale next week.
Last week brought us the elimination of Alec after Natalie’s plan to target Jon fell apart with his Immunity win. Now she’ll have one more shot at taking out her revenge for Jeremy’s vote-out earlier this season. There’s also some promised medical emergency drama when Missy injures her ankle and contemplates leaving the game for medical attention.
Tonight’s show picks up as the final castaways return from Tribal Council where Natalie pulled a quick one and voted out Alec over Keith. Only Baylor knows the truth, but she’s keep her mouth shut, for now. Jaclyn, Missy, and Jon quiz Natalie over how this happened when they thought the plan was clear.
Natalie goes to Keith and explains to him why she voted out Alec. Keith agrees to after the power couple, Jon & Jaclyn. Now Natalie feels she has the pieces she needs to make another move against Jon. Well, unless he secures Immunity again.
Reward Challenge:
The six castaways are split in to two teams of three and tethered. They’ll have to cross an obstacle course starting with a huge hay pile and an over/under rail system. They’ll have to fill a bucket with water to lower a gate and reach a puzzle. First trio to finish wins a trip to a day spa.
Blue: Keith, Missy, and Jon. Yellow: Natalie, Baylor, and Jaclyn.
Yellow has a solid lead as Missy kept falling through the rails. Going over the teeter totter the first time we see Missy take a very hard fall on her leg. Missy reveals she twisted her ankle but does not slow down.
Yellow continues to hold their lead and has their bucket filled first and is on to the puzzle while Blue is still working on filling their bucket. There’s still time for Blue to catch up as Yellow works on the puzzle.
Lead schmead. Blue stages an awesome comeback and overcomes the HUGE lead Yellow had at the puzzle challenge. Sure enough, they get the win. Oh but guess what, Jon gives up his spot to… Baylor. Heh, I thought he’d give it to his girlfriend, but I guess he’s really worried keeping Baylor and Missy in their pocket.
Natalie volunteers to head off to Exile Island and leaves the pack. Meanwhile Baylor gives Missy a piggyback ride out of the challenge and Jeff asks to let him know if she needs medical. Yep, she will.
Reward:
Keith, Missy, and Baylor are living it up with drinks and lots of food at their Reward event. Missy shows off her ankle and it looks bad. They test her range of motion and it’s not good. We’ll see more of this later.
Camp:
Jon and Jaclyn start to speculate about Natalie’s vote-split error. They wonder if she did it on purpose (yep) and maybe they need to keep an eye on her in these final days (yep).
Immunity Challenge:
Immunity is back up for grabs and this is a big one! Missy hobbles in and Jeff says it needs to be addressed. Natalie arrives and Baylor has brought her a bowl of rice which brings Natalie to tears.
Jeff asks Missy about her ankle and she’s in tears too. Missy says she’ll try to do the challenge on one foot, but that’s clearly not an option from what we’ve seen in the preview. Jeff calls over medical before the comp can begin. The medic says it likely a very bad sprain, but it could also be a fracture which would require her to leave the game.
Medical advises Jeff that Missy does not need to be pulled from the game. He thinks they can immobilize the ankle to offset any more damage. Missy is going to sit out the comp, but she won’t be leaving the game.
Now Immunity is back up for grabs. Players, Huyopa minus Missy, must balance on a board and keep a ceramic plate and vase balanced with them. Last to let their vase drop will win Immunity.
Jaclyn is the first player out of the comp and doesn’t appear to have lasted very long. The winds are high, Jeff points out, which is adding an extra challenge. Keith and Baylor are wobbling a lot but it’s Baylor who drops out.
Keith, Natalie, and Jon are still in the game and survive a heavy gust of wind. This looks tough for sure, as it should be. Everyone looks very strong and focused as a new gust of wind picks up and takes out Keith while Natalie and Jon both look solid.
Another round of wind comes along and just when things look good, BAM!, Jon’s vase falls. Natalie wins Immunity!
Camp:
Now they’ve got to work on their plan. Everyone minus Keith agrees that they’ll vote out Keith. Natalie goes and talks with Keith about playing it cool. Oh geez. She says her plan is to get them to split the votes and if Jon plays the Idol then they’ll get rid of Jaclyn.
Baylor goes to her mom with the plan and Missy refuses. Missy is standing fast and says she won’t break the deal that she’s made with Jon. Oh this should be good.
Natalie comes over to try and help the discussion, but it’s not seeming to help. In an aside Missy tells us she knows maybe she needs to break up the “Jon & Jaclyn Show” but she’s very hesitant to do it.
Tribal Council:
Keith right out the gate starts in on pitching that the other five should use his vote and make a big move that the Jury would respect. He seems to be playing it a little better than that implosion event the other week.
Missy says she’s loyal to a fault and is suggesting she won’t flip on Jon, but is this all a decoy? Let’s find out. Jeff has tallied the votes.
Votes: Keith, Jaclyn, Keith, Jaclyn, Jon, & Jon. 3-way tie! Now they’ll have to re-vote, but Jon, Jaclyn, and Keith can’t vote. Wow!
Very smart move to evenly split the votes to block their targets from having a chance to vote in the second round of votes. Well done.
Re-Votes: Jon, Jon, … that’s two & that’s enough.
Jon Misch was voted off Survivor and blindsided tonight at Tribal Council with an Immunity Idol sitting in his pocket. Ouch.

Why is Natalie so pissed at Jon? He’s not the only one that voted Jeremy out. Missy and Baylor did too. Like I said before her true colors are finally showing. Couldn’t stand her on AR either.

There was no leader here per say, that was running the show, even from the get go. Everyone seems to be on their own. I do appreciate this seasons unpredictability.

His alliance seems to be his girlfriend and a love-struck Missy:). I think his flip-flopping will have POed the jury enough that he won’t get the votes even if he makes the final 3. But I’m hoping for Natalie who was flying solo since day 3 (most importantly since the merge).

Hm, I don’t really see that. Jon is sure acting entitled, and taking credit for other people’s ideas to boot (Natalie’s suggestion of Jon using the idol at a recent tribal council for example). But I guess that’s part of the game, as obnoxious a move as that is by Jono:)

I’m starting (just tonight) to like Keith.
I am clearly in the minority in being on the Natalie train here. I just like that she is actually playing the game pretty well. It feels like Jon is gliding to a win that I feel like he really doesn’t deserve so I just want him to go now.
They brought him out there to see it built and watch the crew do it. That was really good.

I really wanted her in the end too until last week. I watched her on AR and she was obnoxious. She seemed different on Survivor and I was hoping she’d make it all the way. My opinion changed last week.
No hidden immunity clues this week.
I saw her on the AR too and I always felt her sister was the obnoxious one. I quite like Natalie and when she has acted out in this game I’ve felt it has been intentional as strategy (like calling out Rocker), which I’m ok with.
I don’t like her cocky comments. I hated her on the AR. I liked her until last week.

Interesting to see different perspectives. I feel like Jon has never had any control and has just lucked in to everything. But you are right about editing – we never truly know which version of events is true.
what happened last week? IMO it was a good move. Secure her ‘loved one’ in Keith (although he’s a bit of a wild card) and let a potential Baylor/Jon ally go (Alec). Seems like she was setting up to vote one of Jon or Jaclyn out this episode…even if she’s voted against by Jon and Jaclyn, she has an idol just like Jon does. now back to the show…I’m gonna watch from here on in:)

last point…I’ve got a feeling Missy or Baylor are going this round, unfortunately.
I want him to win, He deserves to. He has been great at challengers. He’s not at playing the game, but he probably need the money and he’s a firefighter. I’m a sucker for someone like firefighter, policeman or military to win. I think they deserve it the most.

If Natalie is clever, she ought to be able to get Keith, Missy and Baylor to split their votes two on Jon and two on Jaclyn. I think Jaclyn could go.
What am I missing? How was Missy allowed to stay in the game at all if she won’t and can’t participate in an immunity challenge? If you opt to sit out the challenges, how do you stay in? I don’t think this is far at all.
It started because she was pissed at Jon for voting Jeremy out when her entire alliance voted him out not just Jon. If she was doing this for game play great but it’s revenge. Take him on a reward and stab him in the back. I don’t like those kind of players. Never did. Strategic yes, revenge no.

Everyone gets mad when they don’t go on a reward. At least when she would say she was mad she would laugh about it. Look at what a bitch Natalie is. She’s also from my hometown and she’s a really nice person. She’s involved in charity’s and helps those that are less fortunate. I say she qualifies as a nice person!

I personally do not think Melissa should have been able to vote, given she could not do the challenge. What about future challenges, if she can not do them than why she should be able to stay?
I thought the rule was no exceptional medical help without leaving the game. Didn’t the paramedic say exactly that? I think a cast or a wlking boot is ‘exceptional’.
If she can’t do challenge she can’t win immunity. Penalty enough. It’s the same as throwing it.

So relieved it was Jaclyn and Jon.
I’m disappointed the 3 gals didn’t win the reward challenge, but pleased that Jon gave up the spa day so Baylor could enjoy it. Still have a giant smirk on my face because Natalie won immunity ~ way to go gal! Natalie not only devised a plan to outlast Jon, but was able to convince others to join her in carrying it out. Great night!

Big, absolutely, Jon would never have received enough votes to win the million. Natalie has been impressive with game play!
Cyril, I don’t think Jacq or Missy have played strong enough to win, so I think either Keith or Natalie will win it all. If Natalie can take Missy and Baylor to the final three, Natalie will win with a unanimous vote.
I think Natalie will win if she can take Missy and/or Baylor and/or Jacq to the final three. If Missy/Baylor/Jacq make it to the final three, it’s Baylor. If Keith takes Missy and/or Baylor and or Jacq to the final three, Keith wins. If Keith and Natalie make it to the final three, that’s going to be a close vote. I think Keith has been very under-estimated by all because of his age.
I didn’t care much for Natalie and the other one on AR. However, I like Natalie here on Survivor and I think she is actually playing a smart game, unlike Missy or Jacq, who aren’t really playing but are just tagging along.
I do like Jon and Jacq. I don’t think either one is particularly brilliant, but how many Survivor players are Einsteins anyway?
