While we’re used to seeing the advantage item at the Survivor auction that gives a castaway a leg up at the upcoming Immunity Challenge, this season there will be something new. Host Jeff Probst revealed to EW details on the adventure ahead.

This new mystery item will secretly give its holder the one time chance to vote twice at a Survivor Tribal Council of his or her choosing. As for the “secret” part, the power will not be announced and it will be up to the holder to decide when and how to make it known.

The holder will have to inform Jeff before the votes are tallied that the special power will be used. The double votes can be split and used how ever is desired and do not have to both be for the same castaway. No word yet on when it expires.

Who knows if this will make a repeat appearance or if it’s a one-off, but get ready for something new this week on Survivor 2015.

  1. Joe could have benefited from this power. I hope it doesn’t go to the wrong hands….Like half of them !

  2. It becomes boring when you have one big alliance picking the stragglers one by one. This has happened in the last two seasons of Big Brother. I hope Survivor does not fall for the same. The tribe members should realise that they can float on their big alliance and maybe, go far enough but, they are not going to win that $1 million prize. Ask Kass and Monica of seasons past how it turned out for them. Amazing that some tribe members think they can win the $1 million prize by just floating all the way to the end without doing anything. Play the game if you want to win it!

  3. It might be too little and too late. This only helps the game if Jenn or Shirin gets it. Anyone else and they are all part of one huge alliance. They probably would not make a big move until Shirin and Jenn are both out. I am rooting for Carolyn, Tyler and Will to get booted out being floaters that they are.

  4. I absolutely love Jenn and am glad she at least will be back for the finale; but after 27 days, shouldn’t she have a little less of a tummy??
Unless there’s a ton more fish and scorpions being eaten than they show from 8-9 on Wednesdays…
