Hali Ford became the first member of Survivor Ponderosa, again, this week after the newly merged Game Changers tribe, Maku Maku, took aim at her game. Now if only she knew why.
On her way to Ponderosa Hali reflects on the similarities this season with her last time on Survivor’s Worlds Apart when she became the first member of the Jury that season as well. No matter her elimination, Hali was determined to enjoy her 18 days at the resort and it looks like she’s following through on that.
I seriously enjoy these Ponderosa segments. They’re incredibly well done and this season appears to be no different and should feel quite familiar even with the same resort from last season’s Ponderosa. I’ve embedded the video below from CBS’s site since they don’t seem to be posting them on YouTube, but here’s an extra link if you have trouble with this one.
First off, for those keeping track, Hali lost a whopping 2.4 pounds during her few weeks on Survivor 2017, not that she had much to wager with at the start. She clears medical and is off to her resort life with confusion but what seems to be a content attitude.
Hali isn’t sure why she was targeted this time but says it seems like it was a coordinated effort rather than the flip of a coin like the last time she was eliminated. She wonders if she upset the wrong person.
At Ponderosa Hali excitedly shares that she’ll be spending her 18 days doing her pet projects, something she doesn’t always have time to do back home as a lawyer. This leads her to a junk pile left over from a storm which she decides to raid in search of trinkets and treasure for an art project that’s soon completed.
Hali talks about how Survivor gave her the opportunity to buck the system and give up two solid jobs to come out to the beaches and compete. She’s thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I doubt there’s much she’d trade for it.
Watch Hali’s Ponderosa video below and hear what she has to say about the experience on Game Changers.
