Survivor 2018: Ponderosa – Desiree Afuye Arrives [VIDEO]

Last night on Survivor 2018, Desiree Afuye tried to make a bold move and it backfired on her. The night ended with her getting a surprising (to her) trip to Ponderosa.

Desiree’s goal was to get one of her own alliance members out, particularly Kellyn, because she knew she had a feeling she was on the bottom of her group. But Desiree told the wrong person about her plan. She had no idea Laurel was working with Domenick. So Laurel told Domenick who then told everyone. It was a beautiful train wreck of a Survivor Ghost Island episode.

So Desiree’s torch was snuffed and we’ve got her Ponderosa video for you below. So what does she say she took away from her Survivor experience?

“I was out because I wanted to make a big move,” Desiree says in her Ponderosa interview. “I kind of knew toward the end it was going awry but by then it was too late. I thought I was a good actress. I thought everyone is going to believe this … but then I see my name come up six times.”

Desiree might be one of the fastest I’ve ever seen to get over just watching Jeff snuff their Survivor torch.

“When i climbed on the boat that was taking me away from the game, all i could think is it’s over and I’m at peace with it,” Desiree said.

She didn’t offer a lot more on what she learned. She seems to be keeping that all for herself. And that’s fine, because this was her experience and she can do what she wants with it.

“Ponderosa is the middle man between my survivor life and my reality,” she explained. “And everything I’ve learned from this game. I have time to sit on and think on it. I have time to enhance who I am.”

Be sure to check out the full video below, which includes her teaching Chris and Libby some cultural dance moves!
