We are two weeks away from the start of Survivor 43 and the cast for this upcoming season has been announced! Three new tribes and 18 new castaways will compete in this season of Survivor. The first of three tribes I’ll introduce for Survivor 2022 is the Baka Tribe!
The Baka Tribe is made up of (from left to right) Elisabeth “Elie” Scott, Mike Gabler, Morriah Young, Owen Knight, Jeanine Zheng, and Sami Layadi. So let’s get to know them a little better shall we?
- Elie is a 31-year-old, Clinical Psychologist who currently lives in Salt Lake City. She thinks that her ability to think on her feet will help her in the game of Survivor. She is planning to play a super social game.
- Mike is a 52-year-old Houston native who currently lives in Idaho. He is a heart-valve specialist who thinks that his experience of working in high-stress operating rooms for 20 years is what best prepared him to play the game of Survivor.
- Morriah is a 28-year-old middle school performing arts teacher from Philadelphia. She says that any space she steps into, she wants to leave brighter than when she entered.
- Owen is 30 years old and works as a college admissions director. He was born in Korea, grew up in DC, but lives in New Orleans now. Owen grew up watching Survivor with his family and has daydreamed about seeing his name in the credits.
- Jeanine is a 24-year-old User Experience (UX) Designer originally from South Hamilton, MA but currently resides in San Francisco. Jeanine says that she is looking forward to breaking stereotypes and using the creative side of her personality.
- Sami is a 19-year-old pet cremator that lives in Las Vegas and thinks that his communication and perception skills will allow him to be aware of what’s going on around him at all times. He is striving to be the youngest winner of Survivor.
Survivor 43 is set to kick off on September 21st on Paramount Plus! We will have more cast reveals and news coming throughout the season so make sure you check us out right here!
