Savage is out and the “witches coven” trio needed to keep up the pace if they wanted to stay ahead of anyone looking to come back for revenge. Let’s see who won Reward and Immunity last night.

Ciera, Kelley, and Abi have put themselves out there but the other castaways still have some big targets to take care of if they want to make it to the end.

We’ll also follow along with tonight’s hunt for the next Idol now that Kelley has played hers and the castaways know there’s a new one up for grabs. Who do you want to see grab that power? Stick with us here as we live recap tonight’s show.

Reward Challenge:
Castaways are split in to teams of five, leaving one player out, where they’ll build a staircase leading to a key that unlocks a chest containing puzzle pieces revealing a combination code to award the win. Phew! That’s a lot of steps!

Schoolyard pick gives up one team of Keith, Kelley, Kimmi, Kelly, and Jeremy (Green). The other team has Stephen, Spencer, Tasha, Ciera, and Joe (Purple). Shockingly, Abi was not picked. Can ya believe it??

Purple takes a huge lead at the stair steps and rope-key phase, but then things start to stall for them at the puzzle before it takes off again. Green isn’t even close as Spencer and Ciera finish the last step with a combination and win Reward. Purple team is off to the Survivor Spa.

Hidden Immunity Idol:
Jeremy Collins finds the clue in a tree that sends him to a torch in the night where he secures his second active Idol.

Immunity Challenge:
Castaways must balance on triangle platforms floating out in the water. They can’t sit or use their hands. Last player standing wins Immunity.

After 8 minutes Jeff offers a temptation that will give them an advantage in the game. Buoys pop up from the water and the first to touch it gets a mystery prize. Fishbach and Spencer both dive in but Fishbach gets there just a moment sooner than Spencer.

It comes down to Abi and Joe as they’re the last two left and must balance on just one foot on the top of the pyramid. Okay, you’ll be shocked but Joe wins Immunity. Who would have ever expected that, huh? Someone is going to Ponderosa tonight, but it won’t be Joe Anglim.

Tribal Council:
Heading in to this one we’ve got a lot of moving parts with possible targets of Wiglesworth, Wentworth, Ciera, and who knows who else. Lots of trust issues at play in this one that should make for a nail-bitter among the castaways.

Jeff reveals the votes: Ciera, Wentworth, Wiglesworth, Ciera, Wentworth, Wiglesworth, Ciera, Wiglesworth, Wiglesworth, Wiglesworth.

Kelly Wiglesworth of Season 1 was voted off Survivor tonight. Think the tribe made the right choice?

  1. Oh man…I know. We’re getting a storm Saturday. I used to love winter. Now it just makes me sad.

  2. Please no one go after my Joe. Plz find the idol Joe. Let’s get a witch out or Steven whose been gunning for him since day one.

  3. No not in Chicago. Just a few hours est. So the storm is suppose to hit late saturday night or sunday morning.

  4. I know yoour kidding. Um. No no no. He wants to get my Joe out. I’m still upset over Woo being voted out.

  5. According to all of the sites I looked at…they could call it ‘Cambodian’, but I didn’t see it.

  6. Uh oh the girls are putting big targets on their backs tonight. The witches coven! Wentworth bragging about getting out savage, Ciera complaining about strategy. Keith has an idol right?

  7. I am from MI too! Oakland County to Leelanau Peninsula to Traverse City! Then lived in Santa Barabara Cali for 20 years, then husbands parents made us move back to East Coast before they die. Not ready for winter!

  8. The girls are in trouble and banking on guys getting paranoid about each other, should be interesting!

  9. Abi was not selected, hahahahaha! Complaining will start as soon as they get back to camp.

  10. I love Chicago we were there every other weekend on the train from Ann Arbor. Party all the time, real cool people!

  11. Joe doesn’t pick a side either. Could be dangerous, I’d try to talk to Stephen if it’s public he’s targeted, squash it redirect!

  12. Yeah but she is away from Abi and the other for a while. Tasha can work on her (even though she is annoying as heck).

  13. I think she is in private practice and helps juveniles. She went to Northwestern and went to Ann Arbor when they graduated.

  14. Ugh! Not another one for Jeremy. Lol! Not! It’s a clue. I really hope he doesn’t get it.

  15. Well he’s dedicating it to his wife at least…hard to hate on that. Did he say he didn’t know if the baby is a boy or girl?

  16. Yeah a couple years ago I thought someone did. Can’t remember who but was after Russel.

  17. That was touching, sweet…. but everyone is playing to change their lives, make it easier for their family.

  18. Oh.Survivor China..the black guy, and didn’t use it, and went home…If I’m not mistaken.

  19. A Poem for Poet Lariate Stephen…

    Abi is nasty,
    Ciera’s eye rolls weird.
But the worst sight of all,
    is that spit-covered beard.

    Spare us that poetry
    & your backstabbing rants.
    Vote Fishbach out,
    kill HIS second chance!

    Stop picking on Joe,
    don’t be so mean.
    You’re the laziest player
    we’ve ever seen.

    You’re moody & sob
when you don’t win the idol.
    If you’re having your period,
    ask for some Midol.

    Your strategy must change
    if you can’t win immunity.
    How about being nice,
    build a sense of community?

    Practice for comps,
    run on the beach.
    Do something to help
    instead of being a leach.

    Fetch water, hunt for food,
    catch fish, be a diver.
Because no one wants a loser
    to win Survivor!

  20. e zero…but hate and now stir up the pot for the witches, perhaps he is a warlock…hah he’s not a poet. It made my ears bleed when he attempted that.

  21. That one’s for you Sharona! Would love to watch the Dorothy Parker bio with Jennifer Jason Leigh with you!

  22. I am so loving this season. Best it’s been in a while. Fun part coming up……. tribal.

  23. She was pretty good; but didn’t show the wry and witty sarcasm that DP had. Good movie, though. Let’s rent it!

  24. Oh gawd! Mr. Annoying gets to steal a vote, insanely powerful, game winning advantage?? What’s he smoking?

  25. Joe got immunity? He is schooling Stephen too? I can not wait. Seriously, this is what Joe’s life is going to be win immunity all the time. So not fair.

  26. Why doesn’t Stephen’s name even come up- get him out before he uses his advantage. Nobody’s thinking!

  27. You’re on the right track…;) She said that Stephen said his feet were size 16, and I said, “No, he WISHES his feet were a size 16.” Than I asked her if she knew what the saying about a man’s foot size…the bigger the foot, the bigger the…ask Cyril!

  28. to me it seems that in past seasons, “voting blocks” would b considered betrayal if u eluded to ur group you’d be voting w them.

  29. And the other one about height, the taller the tree the shorter the branches! Stephen’s kinda tall! I feel another poem coming on about our favorite meglomaniac!

  30. Oh my, I love seeing Stephen sobbing cold in the rain begging for a ray of hope, he’s begging me to write another verse! That king of the jungle act was over quick!

  31. So what about the rain will force a game change? And the black and white marbles? Perfect timing for the bad weather coming our way next week!

  32. ‘night, Cyril!! See you in my dreams…I mean on the boards…no, in my dreams. I can’t help myself, Cyril. I hope I’m not embarrassing you (too much).

  33. You know that’s what everyone thought when Georgia brought up hands# Poor Cyril! He probably loves all the attention!

  34. Agree & watching her flipping her finger AGAIN as she walked out is getting old Kass, really old. Talk about bitches !!

  35. I didn’t catch that! Good one! Love it that she’s so mad she screwed up her second chance so early!

  36. Well, I know that’s what I thought. Ha! I hope Cyril loves the attention…otherwise we could be embarrassing him to death. I think he likes it. He’d tell us if he didn’t.

  37. Exactly! He made a big smiley face for you even after I suggested he watch his rear view for us on our road trip! He’ll been sorry when we really do head west all hot and bothered from cabin fever!

  38. Jeremy is going to need it! Seems the villains have taken over the game. Stephen with his vote nullification power plus Joe looking to be on their side. Have to review last night’s video of who voted for who. Looked like Joe voted out Wigglesworth so, Keith and Jeremy could be targeted next!

  39. On the first two Google pages alone, there were 20 listings that said the official language of Cambodia is Khmer. I didn’t bother to go the the next 3 pages.

  40. Captain, you were right…Willie Hantz WAS Russell’s son. I could have sworn it was his nephew. But like I said, I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again!

  41. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one…I could have sworn it was his nephew. I remember so well how he said he was some kind of relation to Russell. Oh well. Thank goodness for Google. :)

  42. Yep…doggone it! I hate to be wrong, but when I am, I’m the first to admit it. Yeah, I’d have bet money too, Mary. Guess we’d have lost! ;(

  43. I feel bad. I look forward to winter. I love burning my wood in the fireplace and hoping for snow. its rare we get snow and if we do it isn’t much-at the most, if a good snow, it might last a week. snow is not as enjoyable as it was as a kid, and that pretty fluffy white snow gets dirty and slushy and makes a mess. lol.

  44. it was 76 @ 0500 here but it did drop to the upper 50’s wed. we actually hit 49 this morning

  45. me either. I love it when he jumps in during challenges-let me do it, and fails. thrilled stephen beat him to the advantage, even tho I dislike him too. enjoyed spencer prob shocked he lost to him

  46. I’m getting a storm Saturday as well. We had the most beautiful fall, all good things must come to an end I guess.

  47. Cyril, that ‘face’ looks like you’re thinking, “If I stand perfectly still, I’ll be invisible. Must. Stand. Perfectly. Still.”
    lol!

  48. No, I was wrong, I thought he was his nephew, but I was right that he is the one on Survivor. Russell’s brother was the one on BB.

  49. OK, Mary: I have a correction. Willie Hantz was Russell’s BROTHER. Not his son or nephew…his brother. Oh my gosh, I am totally cornfused. But, it was his Bro. I saw what Captain had written (see above), so I googled it again. That family is making me mad all over again!

  50. LOL! I did see Captain’s post earlier and talk about confused, me too. That family is a bunch of weirdos but I’ll google them tomorrow as well, I’m just too tired tonight. Thanks Sharona, I’m going to catch an early night but I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Good night :-)

  51. Turn out that’s absolutely the truth. 90% of Cambodian are of Khmer ethnicity and Khmer is their official language. Although most people speak french because of the French colonisation from 1867 to 1953.
I’ve read a lot about the Khmer Empire (800-1400), and mostly because I wanted to learn the history behind Angkor Wat. That place fascinate me. I didn’t know they were still using that name today.
Did you know that Angkor (the city around the temple) was the first city in the history of the world to have a population of over a million people in the early 1200 ? Rome came close during the Roman Empire but didn’t go over a million and the next city to go over was London in the late 19th century.

  52. Willie was the one on BB. Brandon (he was 19 yo) was the nephew of Russell and the one on Survivor. Don’t know if his dad was Willie.

  53. Honestly Captain, you astound me with your knowledge! I’m serious! I’m beginning to wonder if there’s anything you DON’T know. Now, if you want to talk about WWI leading up to 1945, that’s MY specialty. WWI and WWII fascinate me. I found out I’d lost an Uncle (due to friendly fire) in 1942, so in researching that, I was led back to WWI for some answers. Seriously though, you’re a walking encyclopedia!

  54. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! OK, I see it now. YES it does look like a ‘cool’ emoticon. I like that. As long as it’s not the ‘stand perfectly still etc…’ I thought maybe I spooked you! On my email, I have animated emoticons. There’s one with a green face, then it vomits. Cracks me up!! Sometimes I just go to my email and watch the green man vomit. What a sad life. Laughing at a little green man vomiting. I just mad myself laugh…it cracks me up!!
    oo

  55. lol..No! you made me laugh. I was cruising on this board a little while ago, reading stuff and thinking who can I annoy..lol

  56. Me too…I just like to read about 1900-1950-ish. I mean, I love to read about other things too, but that period in history has kind of become an obsession.

  57. O O
    ‘–‘
That’s a sad face. I can’t draw stuff like you can. So you just wanted to annoy me? You weren’t telling me you thought I was cool? I’m bummed.
Just kidding. :) That’s a smiley face on it’s side. I’m outta here for a couple-o-days, so I’ll talk to you later. Have a great week!

  58. If you have History Channel, watch a show called “Hunting Hitler”. You wouldn’t believe the stuff they are showing us. Show 3 is next Tuesday at 10H00 pm. Monday night, they are rerunning show 1 and 2.

  59. I love the History Channel and I was so disappointed to have missed “Hunting Hitler” so glad I can see it on Monday – thanks Captain555 :-)

  60. I think Denver would be too much for me. when we get a good one, I’ve had enough by the time it’s gone. I like to get a good snow day off from work, but I’m ready for it to be gone in a day or 2.

  61. honestly cap, I did like that he found it, but when I saw he voted for wiggles, Jeremy lost points in my book. I’m disappointed he did that

  62. any type of cold rain bites. now obviously I’m down south(a little south of sanity), and I’ve been told by numerous people that are cold here is colder d/t humidity. we have 4 seasons, they just don’t last equal amounts of time if u go by temps. snow days are great

  63. btw, we’re posta get down to 31* tonight and only 52* tomorrow. brrrr. fireplace weather for me :)

  64. That’s the way it is in Denver. Average temp for winter is 44F. Snow never stay. A day or 2 and it’s gone. Golf stay open all winter, except a few day when there is snow. And sometimes in January we were getting a day or 2 at 70F. You have to remember Denver is semi-arid. Humidity is 15% all year long. Very little rain in summer. Not much snow in winter. In the rocky mountain west of Denver, that’s another story.

  66. Hi Captain! Yeah, I’ve seen that. There are also a lot of really great shows on The American Hero Network (don’t know if you get it in Canada)…lots of docs and incredible programs about both World Wars…also on the Smithsonian Network. Amazing stuff. Can’t even begin to tell you how many books I’ve read. Also had the chance to interview some Jews from Poland who survived Buchenwald, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and a woman who hid in Poland throughout the German occupation. She was 9 and went from safe house to safe house. Most people don’t know what an influence the end of WWI had on Germany (and Hitler), the reparations imposed on Germany (and deservedly so, IMO) and what really led to WWII. Anyway…thanks for the info!

  67. I think you may really enjoy it, Mary! BTW, in your avatar, that’s the same image my cat sees…now that I think about it, I’m wrong. She’s a beautiful black cat, so I think she sees a panther when she looks into the mirror! Regardless, I like your pic. :)

  68. I love the saying that’s on my avatar “what matters most is how you see yourself”, that saying means a lot to me. Unfortunately I missed Hunting Hitler, I hope it will be repeated.

  69. Yes, I do have TAHN. I have DirecTV. And I have watch all of those WW1 and WW2 along with all the Hitler and Nazi documentary.

  70. Mary, If you have Comcast Xfinity, they have ‘on Demand’ and you can watch (for free) most shows that have already aired. Good luck—I hope you’re able to see the series. But don’t worry, it will ALWAYS be re-run! The History Channel re-runs their programming all the time.

  71. Thanks Sharona. I actually do have “On Demand”, I was away for a bit and am just catching up on things at the home-front but I’ll finally get the chance tomorrow to see if I have it on my “On Demand”, I’ll let you know.

  72. Captain, it’s 11/24…I’ve been trying to change my avatar and still can’t do it. I’ve gone to all the Disqus info sites (as well as Disqus itself), yet I still can’t get it to work. I’ve noticed that some people have said that they can’t change their ‘gravatar’ either. I Googled that, and I don’t have a gravatar acct. Some folks have said that once they’ve commented a few times, the avatar changes. I’ve made a few comments since changing file pics, to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks, my friend. BTW, did you know it’s a double show tomorrow? Cool!

  73. I just try to change mine and it work. You have to go to your profile page and when you pick your new avatar, you have to go down the page and click on “save”. Try it again.

  74. I realized the pic I was trying to upload was too large. Duh. Is your new avatar part Raiders, part NY Yankees? If so, you have stolen my heart. The Yankees are, and always will be, my favorite baseball team. If it isn’t…it sure as heck looks like the Yankee’s logo.
