Last night on Survivor another castaway was voted off just one week from the Second Chance season finale as the final seven castaways competed to get their hands on the million dollar prize.

The women had the numbers advantage last night if they decided to stick together but there other challenges ahead from the previews we’ve seen of this week’s immunity challenge.

Read on to find out who was voted off Survivor last night and see if your favorites made it one step closer to the finale.

On a personal note, I had to say goodbye to my 15+ yo dog earlier tonight. Send him some happy thoughts to get him on up to doggy heaven. Sure going to miss him. And yeah, my coverage will be thin tonight as a result.

Reward Challenge:
Castaways start out at their station, unravel a tangled rope, work their way across a bridge, and then finish it all off to secure a feast of their own to share with two other players.

Keith pulls off the win after several of the close contenders failed to have enough rope to get the job done. He is now the only person to have ever won this particular challenge.

Keith gets to go to a trip around Cambodia to see the temples then off to lunch. He picks Kelley and Spencer to go with him.

Immunity Challenge:
Castaways start on the shore where they’ll head in to the surf and cross floats, boats, and plenty of hard objects to knock their body against. Out in the water they’ll collect a key to unlock a box with puzzle pieces. Here we’re promised something that will “send shockwaves through the tribe.”

Unlike last week there is only one immunity necklace up for grabs. That necklace goes to Spencer who solves the five-piece puzzle almost immediately and in just a few seconds.

The health scare comes when Tasha becomes distressed in the water after struggling to recover her key below the buoy. She had taken in a lot of water when the safety team has to step in and get her to the float. She’s okay, but scared.

Tribal Council:
Earlier names being floated were Keith and Tasha, so who comes down on the losing side of that debate?

  1. Sooo very sorry to hear about your loss, we are sending all our love to you and your buddy who’s definitely traveled over the Rainbow Bridge to heaven! I always think of those who pass waiting for me and watching over…I know how heartbreaking it is so we’re lucky you could cover tonight at all. You were a fabulous dad and your doggy had a great life, lucky to have a friend like you. I’m a puppy rescuer with 5, and have a 19+ year old chihuahua we’ll have to say goodbye to soon, so I understand your pain. Hugs!

  7. Thanks for all the well wishes. My little guy was a rescue from more than 13 years ago and I loved him dearly. A sudden onset of seizures last night was just too much for the doctors to help him overcome and we made the difficult choice this evening. I’m just gutted. Sigh.

    Now let’s see what happens on Survivor! (a wonderful distraction)

  213. I grew up with a dog who was basically decoration. We weren’t mean to him, and we fed him and gave him a bed. He was like a house plant that breathed. So I didn’t have an affinity for pets. Until now. I’ve had a little terrier 7 years now. She follows me around and sleeps next to me whether I’m watching tv or sleeping. I have serious panic attacks when I let myself think of the day she will leave me. Don’t know how I’ll deal. My heart goes out to you.

  214. So, it is Kelly and Keith vs Spencer, Jeremy, Kimmie and Tasha. Abi was clueless! Glad she is gone. She voted for Keith who was on her side? A wasted vote not, that it would have saved her. Interesting scenario next week. There are 2 episodes left I think. Next week, then, the 2 hour finale. I hope Kelly or Keith win the next immunity challenge. Target Spencer because he is the strongest competitor on the four person alliance. I saw Kelly’s eyes light up after the votes so, she knows Spencer cannot be trusted! Vote Spencer next time out as he does not have an idol.

  222. Ambien makes me ‘sleep eat’…does it do that to you? It’s scary. I’ll wake up and find McDonald wrappers all over my floor. Once I woke up and had eaten a 12 pack of ice cream sandwiches. Well, except for the one I was still holding onto that had melted all over me. Needless to say, I’ve never taken it more than twice.

  223. Oh, no…you didn’t spoil it! I watched it after i wrote that post. I already knew she was gone. I just couldn’t wait to see that mean, vengeful look. It WAS priceless…and greatly satisfying.

  224. OMG, my husband does that on Ambien! His biggest problem is that he doesn’t take it and IMMEDIATELY go to sleep. He putters around on the computer. Ambien doesn’t put you to sleep, exactly; it relaxes you to help you sleep. So if you don’t go to sleep, after about an hour, you are “awake” but have the mental capacity of a 2-year-old. The two biggest problems my husband had was trying to take Ambien during the day when he was home sick. Then, he keeps fixating on taking more meds for his cold. Once several years ago, he had an employee following him around the store buying a cart full of CANDLES for no reason! Just this week, he did it again. I think he took too much night time cold medicine along with his Ambien. (Spilled a couple of doses on the counter and the floor!) Then ate 1 and 1/2 chocolate pies from the freezer. Left the milk (and the pie) on the counter. Ate a can of CORN (left a helping of that in the microwave). Didn’t sleep that off until the next morning. Needless to say, Ambien should be taken with care!

  225. Lol…it’s not funny, but because it’s happened to ME, I can totally relate! Psychiatrists rarely prescribe it any longer (because of the side effects)…but Family Doctors do because they don’t know the effects or they don’t believe they happen. I went to the doc with my 80 yr old dad, and his doc wrote him a script, then said, “Bill, if you start driving in your sleep, stop taking them.” I said, “But Dr. So and So…that actually DOES happen. It happened to me!” He laughed and said (very sarcastically), “Oh, OK Sharon—whatever you say.” Jerk. He ate a can of CORN? lol—again, not laughing at you OR him…just remembering me waking up holding that melted ice cream sandwich.

  232. So sorry about your loss Matt. As you already know, he’s now in Animal Heaven. He’s started his own animal blog for all those who watch/watched Big Brother and Survivor ~ entitled ‘Big Brother Survivor’. He’s yapping away with all his friends in high places.

  233. It would be funny if the consequences weren’t so severe. The first time my husband did it during the day, he took a dozen dramamine (we keep them in the medicine cupboard because he gets inner ear infections). This time it was night time cold medicine. As long as he takes it at night and goes directly to bed, he hasn’t had any bad affects. What makes me mad is I’ve TOLD him not to do this and he does it anyway. The last time was Monday. He was in such a “drunken” state when I got home from work, he kept coming downstairs saying he was thirsty and drinking milk directly from the carton (and looking like he would fall over any second)!

  234. 11/30 7:30am I had a robotic assisted labroscopic hysterectomy to remove endometrial cancer. And, yes, I met the robot b4 surgery. Awaiting results on some lymph nodes, but otherwise a success ~ was it pleasant? Only the robot knows. I was given a caring, supportive staff all with a sense of humor ~ I wasn’t let down starting at the top with my fantastic oncologist surgeon. I thought it was ironic that I was given a lovely room on the maternity (yes, you read that right) floor~ my oncologist is well aware of my sense of humor! Recovery is going well with all systems back to normal ~ 1 or 2 I did not know I had or were turned off. Inside my ‘patient handbook’ was a leaflet … “Newborn Hearing Screening. I might be giving them a call! I sincerely appreciate everyone asking about me ~ please feel free to dial me directly. <>

  235. Oh jeez…it’s a good thing it was only dramamine (although that’s dangerous–I’m not trying to trivialize this). For some people it truly works a miracle…but for those of us who do things without realizing it, obviously shouldn’t be taking it. It freaks me out that I actually drove to McDonald’s to get food, and have NO memory of doing it. I could have killed myself or someone else! There are many older prescription sleep aids that are just as effective with fewer side effects. Ambien is an amnesiac—just like the ‘twilight stage’ you have during a colonoscopy or endoscope. Scary!

  303. I thought we had two more episodes. Turns out that Wednesday, December 16 is the Finale. Should be pretty interesting as Keith, Kelly and Jeremy still have immunity idols to play. My guess is all 3 of them use their idols to assure their safety assuming none of them win the Immunity challenge. And they have to vote out 3 more people so, it should be a pretty busy episode.
