Last night on Survivor another castaway was voted off as the Millennials vs Gen-X tribes continued their battle for dominance on the beaches of Fiji with a million dollars at stake.

Jeff Probst reveals the vote on Survivor 2016

Last week we saw Gen-X take a loss and Rachel’s game end but here’s their chance to even things out and put the pressure on the Millennial Survivor 2016 castaways instead.

So far we already have the news from CBS that a medical emergency may end someone’s game from the Gen-X tribe, but let’s hope no one is seriously hurt or at risk by the end of the night.

Hidden Immunity Idol:
David is off exploring and searching for the Idol when he finds a coconut with a mark on it. He cracks it open and sure enough there’s an Idol inside. Good thing for his game too because David is apparently on top of the next-to-go list for his tribe.

Medical Emergency:
Paul has the medical situation where the doctor has to come in over concerns that he may be having a heart attack. Jeff arrives with Doctor Joe and they run a quick test which says it was heat exhaustion, not a heart attack. Doc clears Paul to continue on in the game.

Immunity Challenge:
Immunity is up for grabs and this week’s comp is “The Ocean.” Castaways will swim out to grab buoys with keys, unlock rings from below the water, and then toss them on to floating platforms. First team to finish wins safety for the round.

Millennials take off with a big lead in the first round of collecting all the buoys with the keys. They are the first to unlock the chest and get the mask to swim down and release the rings to toss on the floating poles.

Gen-X is back in the race as CiCi is doing great with the rings and she trades off with Ken as the Millennials struggle. Gen-X wins Immunity! Millennials have a date night with Jeff.

Tribal Council:
Someone is about to be voted off so let’s find out who comes up short in the tally.

Heading off to Tribal it sounds like the initial target was Figgy but then Justin wants to change course and bring Michaela back to their side instead of against Figgy. The new target would be Mari, if they pull it off.

Jeff reveals the votes: Figgy, Mari, Figgy, Mari, Figgy, Mari, Mari, Mari, and Mari.

Mari Takahashi was voted off Survivor this week.

    The first blindside of the season tonight!! I was surprised Jay & Michelle were able to flip the vote so easily. After last season of BB and the showmance galore…I don’t really want to see one on Survivor!! :)

    I’m just wondering if Figgy is popular amongst the male viewers or has a fan base here because I kind of like her. Showmances don’t really bother me so much and it’s entertaining to watch the young kids fall in “love” or lust, which ever it is.

    It would seem both tribes are threatened by the smart females as they were the first to go.
    I haven’t found a favorite yet but I was upset watching that big guy almost having a heart attack. I’m leaning towards the Gen X’ers though.
    That’s one thing I never understand – why don’t the cast stay hydrated? It’s the dumbest thing ever not to drink enough water.

It’s OK if you miss things while commenting…we all do; we all usually have to DVR the show or watch it On Demand later. Lol! I’m glad you showed up, though. It was pretty low key here last night.

Saw this last year too. How about real current comments? I loved Matt but damn,he’s dealing with months old drama. Sucks to be him!

  243. LOL…I gotcha about the ‘can’t wait’ comments. Matt does a great job…I love that on the Survivor site, he actually interacts with us during the broadcast. I know it’s not the same as the live BB shows. I miss that, too. But, you really should try, just once, checking this out during the show. I don’t know what time zone you’re in—so it might not be a possibility—but if you’re EST, you can comment during the show. I admit, it’s NOT the same. But, Cyril and so many other BB folks are here. That’s mainly why I do this. I get my ‘fix’ until BB start again in the summer. Plus, there are two Survivor seasons—which really hold me over, and after the second Survivor, it’s only about a month until BB starts.
    Just try it ONE time! If you don’t like it, cool. But you might just like it—you never know! Hell, to tell you the truth, I can barely watch the show and comment at the same time…I just do it to visit with everyone. C’mon…do it for me! I single-handedly got that jerk Mickey Mousaroni banned from BBN, so…you owe me. I’m KIDDING! Not about the jerk Mickey…I really did do that.
    I won’t bug you again; but please, just come here next Wednesday during the show and see if it’s a good fit. If not, you lost an hour of your life you’ll never get back, and you can blame me. OK?

  244. Although I can’t figure out how; the 2 evicted women must have in some way or another irritated the other castaways.
    Being bossy is never good in the beginning either if in fact they were bossy – the first one out did seem a bit on the bossy side.

    I’m kinda warming up to Figgy’s friend Michelle (?) the missionary.
    Especially after she talked one of the women (?) into voting out Mari. This gal seems very persuasive and likable. We’ll have to see what happens.

    I still can’t understand why Mari was evicted—she hadn’t asserted herself. Oh well—whatever.

    I wonder what’s going on between Michaela and Figgy too, why is M. so hostile towards F. – depending on the edit of course.

  248. It’s so hard to tell anything at this point BECAUSE of the edits….know what I mean? Otherwise, I think we’d have had a better idea of why Mari was blindsided. Who knows?

    One thing’s for sure, I’m really enjoying this season. :D Isn’t Fiji gorgeous?! It makes me want to go snorkeling.

    Have you been watching Survivor for a long time? I’ve been watching since Season 3 and I can almost tell what is going to happen next due to way they edit the show.
    When Mari was happy and confident that her nemesis Figgy was going home I knew instantly that Figgy wasn’t going home but Mari was.
    Guess that’s why I prefer BB, with the cameras going all the time at least we know what’s really going on since the TV episodes are sometimes so far from the truth..
    Isn’t it somehow fitting that Figgy wins the Fiji season ? :D

  251. I watched the first 5 years religiously…then took a break…watched again for another 4 or 5 seasons…but not back to back. Got into it again in the Fall of ’15, when Cap invited me to come over here. Can’t imagine not watching ever again…especially since I can visit with my BB and Survivor families. :)
    But, I can’t tell by the editing, who’ll be going home–you’re really good at reading the editing!
    You’re right about BB—if you didn’t know about BBAD, or BBN, and only relied on the broadcasts on Sun., Wed. and Thurs.–like I USED to–you really didn’t get the real deal. I remember the first time I saw BBAD, I was like, “This is SO not what they show on the hourly broadcasts!!”
    Anyway, YES–it would be fitting if Figgy were to be in the finale and not forfeit the Fiji F2.
    (I tried my best at alliteration…how was it?)

  252. Good job Sharona and Figgy winning Fiji would be very fitting. So far I’m liking her, although she’s young and silly and will probably get on a lot of people’s nerves :D
    The edit became so predictable at one time that just watching the previews I could tell who would be leaving the next week.
    Remember the family member season where John and his wife (a former contestant) were a team? I loved John and wanted to see him do well after his harridan wife was evicted and things were looking good for him.
    Then they showed the preview for the next episode with the immunity challenge being John and 2 gals had to crawl up a wood pole and hang on to the last. Well, the 2 women had their little legs wrapped around that pole and weren’t going nowhere; whilst John obviously couldn’t wrap his big legs around the pole as tight as they could.
    I knew right then and there John was leaving the next week. A lot of people complained about the edit being so predictable so they have tried to change things up and they’ve managed to fool me several times – which I loved :D
    I started watching Survivor during the Africa season, fell in love and never stopped watching although some of the seasons have been disappointing.

  256. After he stole Cyril’s avatar AND name—he clearly crossed a line. I was a big ally of Mickey’s until he did that. It took Cyril 3 days to get his name back, and all of his accounts straightened out. I was so disappointed in Mickey.
