We are back for another round to see who was voted off Survivor 2018 this week! Last night we saw yet another tribe shakeup, a chaotic Immunity Challenge, and of course, one of the 15 remaining castaways head home.
Most of the contestants were less than thrilled with the swap they were presented with, but Michael and Jenna couldn’t be happier because this is likely the only thing that could save one of them from going home next.
First up at the start of the episode we have Jeff Probst welcoming the two tribes back to the beach for what they think is their first challenge, but he’s got a surprise for them!
“Naviti has been on a winning streak, Malolo on a losing streak,” Jeff tells the two tribes. “See what happens now. Everybody, drop your buffs. We’re switching tribes.”
Moans and groans follow, but Michael perks up. “From a game point of view, it’s kind of like a saving grace,” he tells Jeff. “Now that things are getting shaken up again, it looks like maybe a bright light at the end of a tunnel for me and Jenna.”
Jeff tells them that there will be a third tribe added so let’s take a look at how the new tribes stack up.
Malolo (orange): Michael, James, Desiree, Kellyn, Angela
Naviti (purple): Domenick, Donathan, Bradley, Libby, Chelsea
Yanuya (green): Sebastian, Chris, Jenna, Wendell, Laurel
It’s time for the first Immunity challenge as new tribes! Two tribes will win immunity tonight. For this challenge, some of the players will be blindfolded while a caller leads them to find puzzle pieces and then tries to guide them to assemble the puzzles.
This challenge is complete chaos. I think Malolo took an early lead, followed by Yanuya and then Naviti. This is a mess. Naviti and Yanuya are neck and neck behind Malolo. Yanuya has a setback and Naviti is able to pull ahead of them.
Yanuya pulls ahead to first place and wins the first immunity! Naviti wins the second immunity! Malolo will go to Tribal Council once again.
James and Desiree are the two choices that everyone has talked about. Who will it be? Everyone knows they need Michael’s muscle, so he should be safe. But James leaving means Michael is the only guy. Does that matter to them? Let’s find out.
The votes: James, Desiree, James, James. James is the sixth person voted out of Survivor Ghost Island.
