Tonight on Survivor 2016 Kaoh Rong we’ll see the fall out from Tai’s decision to deny his Idol to Scot leaving Jason and Julia flapping in the breeze.
Jason wants his revenge, but the numbers aren’t starting out in his favor. With seven castaways left he’ll need to turn a few more players to his side.
We’ve only got four more eliminations until we reach the season’s final three castaways and right now this is a pretty good mix of castaways left in the race. They’ve all been making moves and working hard to keep themselves ahead, but a few of them may have forgotten the Jury side of things.

I guess I read that wrong. A lot of things on my mind this morning. This is what is said. So I guess Tai won.

Sorry but I don’t even see where Tai won but it wouldn’t surprise me if he did the challenge alone but I think he teams up with Joseph so maybe not.

Yes, I read what Matthew wrote and your post again, but I still don’t see that it says Tai won.
Maybe it is a grammatical error? Maybe this is what they meant:

I think if they meant that Tai is going on the reward they would have just said, “. . . as we watch Tai try to navigate around an angry Jason and take a ride in a helicopter for a very nice reward.”

I thought it read just fine, I didn’t think they were saying Tai was going on the reward at all.
I did Mary. That is how it was worded. ” as he try to navigate around angry Jason.” AND who gets to take a ride in a helicopter” Who would not think he wan the reward.
Me, I didn’t think it meant Tai won at all. It says WHO gets to take a ride not TAI gets to take a ride.
From a grammar stand point, it is still incorrect. Is says to join us as we watch Tai, so Tai is established as the subject of the sentence. Meaning everything in that sentence pertains to the subject . . . Tai.
Tai is the subject so the rest of the sentence would be about something he did or was done to him. Tai has to navigate around and angry Jason, AND (still Tai) gets he gets to take a ride in a helicopter.
I believe the way you understood it was the way it was meant by the writer, but if the statement “who gets to take a ride in a helicopter” was not about Tai, then by grammar rules, it needed to be a different sentence from the previous one.
However, going back to my grade school days and all of the time spent diagramming sentences in English class. If you diagram the sentence based on the rules, the result would be that Tai has to navigate around an angry Jason and he gets to go on a helicopter ride for a reward.
