A pair of castaways were voted off Survivor last night when we got a double feature of back to back Tribal Councils and a brand new set of tribes for “Worlds Apart.”

Picking up the Survivor 2015 pace it was a full two hours of episodes with a ton of challenges after weeks of single competitions. No Collar would have to pull out all the stops if they wanted to avoid a third straight loss but with their recent poor performances I wasn’t going to be shocked if it happened again.

Whoever went home first on Survivor would miss the Tribe Shuffle that eliminates the third tribe and made two new ones in its place. Should be interesting to see who is the first to turn on a former ally, but enough waiting, let’s find out right now as we live blog this week’s show here.

Reward Challenge:

Wasting no time we’re flying right in to the first Reward Challenge of the night and it’s the blindfold competition. Watch out below! The tribes are running four players in each with one person up in the lookout tower while two roam the field blindfolded. Each pair must find 3 items, lift them up, and then bring back the tribe flag.

No Collar takes an early lead as we see the fourth player who pulls the lift get knocked in the head on each tribe. Jeff warns Will to watch out and we get another warning when Blue gets reckless with their platform. I think CBS is trying to show themselves as proactive in trying to protect the players ahead of what’s about to happen.

Maintaining a huge lead, No Collar is down to their last item when disaster strikes. Blue has been getting careless and letting the platform drop instead of slowly lowering it. When Dan lets go of his rope the wood platform socks her hard in the forehead. She’s bleeding but doesn’t seem to realize how bad it is.

Medic comes over to examine her. She’s fine, says the medic. He cleans up Kelly’s wound and she is right back in the game. Impressive! The challenge is back on and ready to see who can win the chickens.

No Collar pulls off the win and takes home the chickens. That leaves Blue and White to battle it out. Both come down to just needing their flag but it wasn’t meant to be for the Blue Collars. White wins second and gets ten eggs. Not bad.

Hidden Immunity Idol:

Jenn doesn’t like the idea of killing the chicken for Will’s birthday so she goes off to hunt for wood and the Idol. Sure enough, she digs around and finds it in a tree. Jenn has the No Collar Immunity Idol.

Immunity Challenge:

It’s the “Houses of Holey” for tonight’s first challenge. Blue sits out Dan and Lindsey while White sits out Shirin. The other four players will have to work across the obstacle course while tethered to a rope before building a staircase and then navigating a ball up a holey wall.

Blue has a healthy lead even with Rodney getting confused with the rope path. Red is next and soon working on the ball-wall maze. White is a good bit behind but makes up and gets the first of three balls up the wall. Blue manages to find themselves in third place after their initial lead.

No Collar wins Immunity! It’s close for second place as Kelly nearly has it when she falls off the platform and has to start over. Max is running things for his tribe when he drops his ball. This will be close. Oh hoh, Blue finally loses. White gets Immunity and second place with Blue heading to Tribal Council.

Tribal Council:

Things don’t look good for Rodney as the general consensus back at camp is that it’s time for Rodney Lavoie to head home. Meanwhile, Rodney thinks it should be Lindsey heading home. As they arrive at Tribal Council and start talking with Jeff it doesn’t look like things have changed.

Jeff reveals the votes: Rodney, Lindsey, Rodney, Lindsey, “Ciara,” and Sierra.

Three way tie. Rodney, Lindsey, and Sierra can’t vote so that leaves it up to Mike, Kelly, and Dan to decide.

Revote results: Lindsey, Lindsey… that’s enough. Wow. They faked me out. Lindsey Cascaddan was voted off Survivor tonight.

Round 2 – Episode 5:

Back at camp Rodney is pissed at Sierra for voting against him along with Lindsey. The rest of the tribe wants to bring her back in to the fold, but Sierra says they are all dead to her in this game. It’s time for the next challenge.

Tribe Shuffle:

New Red “Nagarote”: Will, Kelly, Carolyn, Max, Hali, Shirin, and Jenn.
New Blue “Escameca”: Dan, Tyler, Sierra, Joaquin, Mike, Rodney, and Joe.

Reward Challenge:

The two new tribes. One player from each tribe launches balls with a slingshot while two players out in the field try to catch them.

First round has the teams tied, but round two gets two more to Blue. Third round puts another point to Blue with no points to Red. Blue is one point away from the win of a lot of food.

Red picks up another point, but it doesn’t matter because Blue gets their fifth and final point for the win. They get all the kitchen supplies and food plus anything the White Collar tribe had previously won with that tribe dissolved.

Immunity Challenge:

Immunity is back up for grab for the second time tonight. Players have to pull pots on a sled across the course. Once all pots are loaded on their posts another player will swing a wrecking ball at the series of posts and pots. First of the two teams to smash all the pots will win Immunity.

Red sends out Jenn and Hali to drag the heavy sled and two heavy pots. Meanwhile Blue sends out Joaquin and Max who tear past the ladies. The Blue tribe is working with a very nice lead and Jeff describes it as a “blow out.”

Blue’s pots are loaded and Dan is DEE-stroy-ing this challenge. He’s tearing through the pots while Red is still working to get theirs in place. Yep, Blue gets the win thanks to Dan’s great aiming. Red is heading to Tribal Council.

Tribal Council:

Half the tribe thinks Will is the target while the other side, thanks to Carolyn flipping, is eyeing Max and Shirin for the next elimination. Let’s see who “wins” this contest.

Jeff reveals the votes: Will, Will, Max, Max, Max, Max. That’s four votes and it’s enough. Max Dawson was voted off Survivor tonight.
