Another castaway was voted off Survivor last night when the two remaining tribes faced off in a pair of challenges for Reward and Immunity. Who went home this week on Survivor? Let’s find out.
Dynamics have shifted in a big way as the alliances were split and merged thanks to the Collar tribes coming to an end and the castaways scattered between a new blue and red tribe division. Red tribe came up short last week and with it was the end of Max’s game. Will the White Collars continue to get picked off as the weaker players or is it time to go after a big target?

First up we’ve got the Reward Challenge with an all new competition called Air Raid where the castaways take turns sending sandbags through the air at 6 targets 150 feet away thanks to more slingshots like last week.

The reward is pretty awesome and takes them out to watch a turtle egg hatching event where they’ll also feast on lots of tasty goodies.
Dan Foley sits out for Escameca as they tear up the challenge and are way ahead of Nagarote who is struggling to get all their players to the starting mat. Say goodbye to that big lead though as Rodney Lavoie is up first for Escameca and does what he does best in challenges: flails.
Things even up again at 2:2 before Sierra Thomas picks another one up for the Blue tribe and soon so does Mike Holloway. 4:2 for Blue when Carolyn Rivera makes up for Hali Ford’s failures and closes the gap.
Shirin Oskooi and Will Sims tie things up when Jenn Brown seals the deal for Nagarote and they win the Reward. They’ll be heading out for a special night.
Immunity Challenge:
It’s a memory based competition this week where the teams send one player at a time each to study a series of objects and then recreate the setting on the other side of the field.

After 3 rounds for Mike and Kelly she finally gets it right with lots and lots of help from Mike. Escameca is heading to Tribal. Mike thinks he has a plan. Let’s see.

Part of the group thinks Joe is heading out while another side thinks it’s time to split up the bromance between Rodney and Joaquin.

I think because the Blue Collars still wanted to keep their numbers if one or the other ( Joaquim) had to go. And they didn’t know there would be another merge right afterwards.
I missed the first part of this season and just got caught up. Fantastic characters this year. So good to see all the old familiar names – I was GMaG before. As usual, you’re all really good sources for all the little things I miss. Really wanted to see Rodney go, but Joaquin was a good consolation prize. Rodney’s face when Joaquin’s name was called was beyond enjoyable – they thought they had it wrapped up. The gang this year doesn’t seem to be afraid to make big moves – love it. Can’t wait for the next episode and still wish they had it on 2 or 3 times a week like Big Brother.
Due to horrible weather in Oklahoma, I missed a lot of the show. Was anyone else “in” on Mike throwing the challenge?
