Last night on Survivor 2015 we saw two tribes split into three and another castaway was sent home, cutting their Second Chance season and dreams short.

So how did  the tribe swaps change the relationships already built by Ta Keo and Bayon? Some contestants were clearly in danger while others were sitting pretty. We’ll soon find out if that’s all changed.

How are you hoping the new tribe dynamics work out and who do you want to see face Jeff Probst at tonight’s Tribal Council? Keep up with us as we recap this week’s show and see who was the latest to be voted off Survivor Second Chance.

Tonight’s episode picks up after Shrin Oskooi was voted out and Spencer is left scrambling because he knows he’s on the outs in the Ta Keo tribe. But lucky for Spencer, his personal change might not be what saves him, but instead the news Jeff Probst has for the castaways. It’s time for a swap. And not just a swap, but the two tribes are breaking into three.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Ta Keo: Ciera Eastin, Joe Anglim, Kass McQuillen, Keith Nale, Kelley Wentworth, Terry Deitz
  • Bayon: Jeremy Collins, Kelly Wiglesworth, Spencer Bledsoe, Kimmi Kappenberg, Stephen Fishbach, Monica Padilla
  • Angkor: Abi-Maria Gomes, Jeff Varner, Peih-Gee Law, Andrew Savage, Tasha Fox, Woo Hwang

I must say that things do not look good for Savage and Tasha and that is incredibly unfair and unfortunate. But I’ll reserve judgments until I see how it all plays out. What do you think of the new tribes?

Immunity Challenge

It’s time for the immunity challenge and Jeremy has found the clue to the latest hidden immunity idol that will again be hidden within the challenge.

This challenge has the players retrieving keys, chests, taking apart their carts, and hauling the chests to the end of the obstacle court and completing a puzzle.

Ta Keo finds themselves in the early lead while Bayon and Angkor are battling for second place. And Ta Keo finishes first and is the first to win immunity. And Bayon finishes second so that means the brand new Angkor tribe will go to Tribal Council and someone will be voted out.

Oh, and among the chaos Jeremy snagged the hidden immunity idol.

So Savage and Tasha were instantly on the bottom at the switch, but after Varner had a bit of a meltdown after losing the challenge and Tasha called him out, he sunk to the bottom. But then there’s Abi-Maria who is so over Woo and Peih-Gee. So now Peih-Gee is a target. But so is Abi. But what about Savage, Tasha and Varner? It’s anyone’s guess. Let’s see.

  120. My only favorite now is Jeremy. His tribe looks strong enough to avoid tribal (fingers crossed). Tasha is a in the “clinch player”, because if she hadn’t busted Jeff and Savage went to work the “passengers” they were in danger and Tasha would probably have gone home. Nobody 4 EVER!!!

  144. I love all you guys who leave the great comments here. I’m on the West Coast, so still waiting to see the show but, since I’m the weird type of person who can’t stand suspense and looks at the back of a book to see if my favorite characters made it through, it’s wonderful to know ahead of time who goes home. That way, it’s great to watch really carefully to see all the little things that lead to a particular person being picked. Bit surprised it was Peih-Gee, but maybe it will make more sense after the show.

  148. Is anyone worried about Woo? The minority basically ruined his game, and now he is Annoying Abi’s next target, and most likey the bottom. If the new tribe keep losing it will be woo, jeff, and most likely abi if they end up losing more

  150. I know Abi – Marie is “trouble in a small box”, but shouldn’t it be acknowledge that the first “big move” of this season was made by “little trouble”, Abi – Marie (eliminated a threat and joined a majority alliance). Nobody 4 EVER!!!

  151. Speaking more generally, what is going on with having one competition an episode? Where is the reward challenge? The contestants have a lot of downtime and are constantly battling boredom. Is Survivor trying to give us an immersive experience where we share the contestant’s boredom?

  152. Yep, everything said about him in the responses is spot on. Stephan & JT made an alliance & JT stayed true blue to the alliance to the end. Prior to the final immunity challenge, Stephen tells the cameras (audience) if he wins it, he will NOT be taking JT to the finals … Something along those lines; but it turns out JT won & took Stephen. I was so astounded because JT was just an honest good ole boy & never suspected Stephen’s duplicity. But karma was a bitch; Stephen the Snake did NOT get one tribal vote & JT took it all!

  153. I can’t believe I remember this, but I think it was that sling ball game; some of your tribe mates are in the shallows with oversized handled nets to catch the catapulted balls. JT either runs into a pole or the rim of someone’s net then spits out his tooth. Probst’s calls timeout to be sure he isn’t injured – In the meantime, someone finds the tooth in the sand, JT doesn’t want it & Probst takes it & raps it in something, then sticks it in his pocket. At finale night, Jeff returns his tooth to him. Don’t know why I remember this kind of minutiae! God help me :)

  154. I know this is a naive thought, but I’ve always thought keep the animals as long as possible & eat the eggs – which are high in protein. It also seems more often than not they take the rooster first; doesn’t his presence stimulate the layers? Anyway, I get it when you’re near the end of the game & can see everyone is a bag of bones, so okay, eat the chickens.

  155. Can’t remember – did this tribe have fishing gear? Asking because it goes to my comment to Georgia (above) re: keeping the chickens. If you can fish, save the birds for now.

  156. Didn’t Wu say something about not being kept in the loop while getting ready for TC? Then, after the votes are read, he is literally WTF? He voted to oust Abi so he’s probably now thinking he could be next. I really thought the whole Savage/Tasha social switcheroo was amazing though; they are at the bottom and end up capitalizing on the PG/Abi social tension. However, someone (below) mentioned Tasha’s approach to Jeff was a little too early (and really somewhat meaningless). I think Jeff was a bit incredulous about her “offer”.

  157. Is there anyone here who can read lips? I really want to know what Jeff V was mouthing after Ankor lost the challenge. He looked like he was going to blow a gasket; maybe he was talking to a former tribe mate, Tasha saw this and calls him a rat?

  158. Jeff Varner seems like he has nine lives with the way he has been flip flopping yet, he is still there. Playing too hard this early is a recipe for eviction. Just observe and listen and find out who is in an alliance with who.

  159. Obviously, he was trying to signal other allies from the other tribes. That is a dumb move as it showed the others in his tribe, his cards. If Abi Maria and Pee Gee did not target each other last night, It would have been Jeff Varner going home. Nice move by Jeremy to grab that idol. Why didn’t I see other idols on the boxes of the other tribes? I found that strange.

  160. I had the same thought about the idols,too. I’d think there would not be one on Tae Keo because Kelly has found that one, but we should have been able to spot the other one for Ankor. It just could have been the camera angles & we/the audience couldn’t see it – or maybe they’re not putting an idol into play until a player finds a clue first – in this way, you put a stop to the ole Russel Hantz play where you just find it without a clue. Hey, they really are trying to mix it up this year rather than letting the game become predictable – like, um, BB!

    I am happy Jeremy got the idol. I honestly didn’t catch the to tosha/Jeff thing even after backing it up. I truly thought tosha was having a super delayed “we got it”, celebrating a win. I was so confused, so I’m glad it was explained. I still have no idea what Jeff was mouthing. although still below my standards of what I consider good behavior, I gotta give abi props, she has improved. I can tell she is trying. lol, she’s a pistol tho. 100% agree-where’s the reward challenge. I love the challenges the most. jeff Varner made me laugh at first, but this episode put a bad taste in my mouth. he better straighten up. I don’t trust spencer and I hope woo is not on the bottom.

  166. depending on how many chickens u have, I’d eat chicken when really really hungry or need extra nutrition for important challenge and live off eggs other day. chickens only lay 5-6 eggs/wk and an egg. a rooster isn’t needed for a hen to lay an egg and they won’t produce faster, if that’s what u were asking.
